Learning with someone you know can make language practice more engaging and motivating. Your teen can share lessons with a sibling, friend, or classmate who has similar goals and is at a compatible level. The instructor tailors the course to the students, giving them plenty of individual attention while they learn, practice, and build confidence together.

In person, online
Bring a group together around a shared language goal. We can create a customized program for friends, siblings, homeschoolers, classmates, school groups, or students preparing for travel or study abroad. Groups can meet throughout the year or choose a focused summer or pre-travel program designed around their interests, schedule, and goals.

Our Private Lesson Packages & Prices
Every hour in your package is an hour of live, one-on-one instruction with a Speak! teacher. Whether your teen learns online or in person, lessons are personalized to their goals, level, and schedule. Scheduling is flexible, too. If your teen is sick, traveling, or needs to miss a lesson, simply coordinate with their teacher to reschedule.

We primarily work with middle and high school students. In some cases, we may work with younger students depending on maturity level and instructor availability.

Yes. Lessons can be aligned directly with your teen’s school syllabus, textbook, pacing, and upcoming assessments. We can also go beyond classroom material when enrichment is desired.

Yes. We provide targeted preparation for AP and IB language exams, including speaking practice, grammar review, writing support, and test strategy.

Most teen lessons are held online for flexibility around school and extracurricular schedules. In-person sessions are available in Charlottesville when scheduling allows.

Most sessions are 60 minutes, though longer or intensive sessions may be arranged, especially during the summer.

Yes. Many of our instructors have experience working with students who are neurodivergent or who learn differently. Because our teen programs are primarily one-on-one, we are able to adapt pacing, teaching methods, and lesson structure to support each student’s individual learning style.
We encourage parents to share any relevant information so we can thoughtfully match your teen with the right instructor.

When two or more students share similar goals and availability, we may create a semi-private or small group class. Availability depends on instructor fit and student alignment.
