Ukrainian/Russian: Tatiana Yavorska-Antrobius, M.A.

Tatiana holds a master's degree from the National Academy of Art and Architecture in Kyiv, where she completed advanced studies in painting, theater design, architecture, history, and philosophy. She also trained as a monumental painter at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and earned a master's degree in Fine Arts through a graduate program in historical restoration.

In addition to her work as an artist, Tatiana has taught Ukrainian for more than eight years, working with professionals, graduate students, federal employees, and learners at all proficiency levels. Since 2022, she has worked extensively as a Ukrainian interpreter and translator, providing real-time interpretation for in-person and online meetings, broadcasts, and professional events. Her translation experience also includes contemporary articles, historical, ethical, and sociological research, as well as historical novels and biographies.

Tatiana believes that learning Ukrainian is about far more than mastering grammar and vocabulary. Language opens the door to a culture's history, values, and ways of thinking. By understanding a language, students gain a deeper appreciation of the people who speak it. She views language learning as both an intellectual journey and an art that transforms knowledge into meaningful human connection.
