Arabic: Karima

Karima is originally from Meknes, Morocco, and has always been surrounded by languages and diverse cultures. Growing up in Morocco gave her exposure to Moroccan Arabic (Darija), Modern Standard Arabic, French, English, and even Spanish, especially through the cultural influences found across different regions of the country. This multicultural environment sparked her passion for communication and language learning from an early age.

In addition to teaching Arabic and Moroccan Darija, Karima works as a freelance interpreter, helping bridge communication between Arabic and English speakers in a variety of settings. Her professional background in healthcare, including nursing support and pharmacy work, has strengthened her ability to communicate with patience, clarity, and compassion.

After living in Egypt for more than four years with her Egyptian husband, Karima also became fluent in Egyptian Arabic and developed a deeper understanding of different Arabic dialects and cultures across the Middle East and North Africa. She enjoys helping students learn practical, everyday language that allows them to feel confident while traveling, connecting with people, and experiencing local culture in a more meaningful way.

Outside of work, Karima enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, reading, swimming, shopping, and traveling. She loves meeting people from different backgrounds and believes language learning should feel engaging, supportive, and connected to real life.
