We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: Speak! Language Center has been voted Best Learning Center in Charlottesville by C-VILLE Weekly’s Best of Cville Awards! 🎉

Even after more than 21 years in business, this recognition feels incredibly meaningful. On paper, Speak! is a solo woman-owned business — but the truth is, I wouldn’t still be here, and Speak! wouldn’t be thriving, without the people who make this work possible.

✨ First and foremost, my stellar team: MVP leaders like Liz Launer and Franco Perez, more than 50 incredible language instructors from around the globe, and our growing support team of curriculum designers, web and graphic designers, and bookkeepers who keep everything moving behind the scenes.

✨ And of course, our amazing students — from individuals and couples preparing for travel, to professionals building skills for their careers, to our partners in education, nonprofits, and small businesses. Your dedication, curiosity, and trust in Speak! are what fuel our mission.

When I started Speak! in 2004, I never imagined the community that would grow around it — a place where language isn’t just grammar and vocabulary, but connection, culture, and conversation. This award is a reminder of why we do what we do: to help people connect more deeply with the world and with one another.
